Drawer 13

Persian weapons

Persian weapons, along with Ottoman weapons, were popular in Poland even during the existence of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The distance and subsequent wars with the Ottoman Empire limited the possibility of importing luxury goods from Persia, so they were often imitated.
The drawer shows several examples of weapons and equipment from the lands of today’s Iran.
