The showcase is divided into several sections. The first, with a characteristic winged helmet, is again a reference to the Battle of Vienna in 1683. This time it dates from 1732, when, at a military review near Warsaw, King August II decorated the Saxon army in this way to satisfy the wishes of foreign guests who wanted to see the famous winged hussar, which was not there. The real wing is next to it. This, in turn, dates also the 18th century and is accompanied by armour decorated with the symbol of a cross on the breast with the motto of the Order of the White Eagle, typical of the Saxon period in Poland. The rest of the showcase focuses on three aspects: private armies in the former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the army of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the issue of personalising weapons with coats of arms and inscriptions.
